We
are fully committed to providing the best possible
services to everyone involved. Our aim is to help
young people to improve their quality of life, enable
them to fully participate in the community, build
their confidence, their choice, their human rights
and social inclusion. we have been providing a diverse
social, educational and leisure based programme to
meet the social, cultural and religious needs of young
Bangladeshi people. We have spent considerable time
and resources focusing on providing a quality service
which gives value for money and adheres to best value.
Furthermore we have been able to provide various services
to cater for the individual needs and skills of the
users and their families.
BSCA's
activities are as follows:
To give advice to residents of Westminster in housing
& welfare rights via a Resource Centre, support
and act in relation to planning and environmental
issues concerning the residents of Westminster.
Provide facilities for and organise sports, recreational
and cultural activities particularly aimed at gaining
the participation of local women and young people.
Take up training and educational issues that concern
the local residents, offer facilities for young people
in the area, which are employment driven, and which
can raise the attainment levels locally.
To promote and benefit the inhabitants of Westminster
and the surrounding area without distinction of sex
or political or religious or other opinions by associating
local authorities in a common effort to relieve poverty,
advance education, preserve and project health and
provide facilities.
To develop employment initiatives such as job clubs
and impart key employment driven skills to ensure
that local residents have access to such opportunities
which will enable them to compete in the job market
To establish a community Centre in westminster, to
work in partnership with local agencies including
local statutory bodies in the development of local
services
To promote good race relations in the area of benefit
by endeavoring to eliminate discrimination on grounds
of race and encouraging equality of opportunity between
persons of different racial groups / genders.
